Why we ask for your details

A concrete estimate starts with a conversation, so we need a way to reach you and an idea of the job. Whatever you type into the request form is used for one purpose: getting a Fort Bend contractor to call you about that project. Nothing you send is sold, traded or turned into advertising.

The form fields

• A name we can use when the contractor calls.
• A phone number, plus an email address only if you choose to give one.
• The town or neighborhood of the property, the type of work and anything you add in the message box.

Data our host records on its own

Like most websites, ours runs on a hosting platform that keeps routine logs: which page was opened, when, from what kind of browser, roughly where the connection came from and which site linked here. On top of that we tally taps on the call buttons and completed forms so we can tell which pages are useful. There are no ad networks, retargeting pixels or tracking cookies on this site.

Who gets your request

Exactly one independent contractor whose service area includes your address. They receive your name, number, location and description so they can call and prepare an estimate. Behind the scenes, the companies that run our hosting, email delivery and mail forwarding handle the data only to keep those services working.

What happens afterward

We may check back to confirm the contractor got in touch, and contact you if something about the request went wrong. Beyond that, we won't message you. Counts such as how many requests came from Katy versus Richmond help us improve the site without identifying anyone.

Storage and deletion

Requests are stored for a maximum of two years, long enough to answer a question about a past estimate or job, and are then erased unless a legal obligation says otherwise. Entries made while testing the site are labeled as tests and cleared out.

Keeping it safe

Pages and forms travel over encrypted connections, and only the people who need a request to arrange your estimate can open it. We keep as little as possible, because information that isn't stored can't be exposed.

Seeing, fixing or erasing your information

Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong or delete it entirely. There's no fee and no reason required.

Other sites and minors

Links to county, city or other public pages lead to sites with their own policies, which this one doesn't cover. This site is intended for adults arranging work on a property, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
